How to Measure Your Customer’s Ring Size

This guide outlines two methods for determining ring size.

Using an Existing Ring: If you already have a ring that fits the person for whom you are buying, measure the inside diameter of the ring and compare it to the size chart.
Measuring the Finger: If you do not have a ring to measure, take a measurement of the intended ring finger and match it to the size chart.

Tips For Measuring Your Customer’s Ring Size

When measuring for a ring, choose one that fits the intended finger.
It’s best to measure your finger later in the day when it is warm, as fingers can shrink when cold—potentially affecting the size by up to half a size.
Rings with thicker bands tend to feel tighter than those with thinner bands. Therefore, if you’re purchasing a ring with a thicker band, consider buying a full size larger to ensure it fits comfortably.
Your ring should always fit snugly on your finger without the risk of falling off.
